Daventry is a town in Northamptonshire

About the Town Council

The money we spend is raised through a Town Council Tax, which is collected by the District Council as part of the Annual Council Tax billing process.

We are non-party political, independently-minded individuals with a strong community focus and a commitment to delivering high quality services at a reasonable cost. We want to protect and enhance our Town and its environment.

Communication and consultation are the Town Council's watch words and our strap line is ‘Making Your Voice Heard’.

For us to be effective we need your input and there are many ways you can get involved with shaping the Town – polls, surveys, consultations. Just click on the link ‘Making Your Voice Heard’.

The Town Council communicates directly with Daventry people via 'The Town Crier', which is delivered to all households in the Town, and through this website.  These also enable the Town Council to collect your views on how you would like to see your Town in the future.  Your views will form the basis for our discussions with the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC).  The WNDC is the planning authority for the major future development of our Town.

We will also use your views to seek to influence Daventry District Council.
You can find out about the meetings that are held - where to come, the time and the date.  Members of the public are always welcome.
