New premises for Daventry Town Council

No 3 New Street to be home for Daventry Town CouncilDaventry Town Council recently agreed to move to other premises in the town. We have been at the current premises since 2004 and it has served us well; but this move will enable us to deliver an enhanced service within an adaptive building.

The Town Council will be located at 3 New Street and will have better access for local people as well as much improved facilities for the disabled. The staff and Councillors look forward to Daventry residents coming in with their queries and, as always, will be willing to help with your enquiries.

Our museum will have more space for displaying artefacts and room to research our other acquisitions and to continue updating our well-viewed photo library of local people, places and events.

Thank you to Roy Sharp, our Voluntary Museum Curator and all the volunteers who work freely to give Daventry its own museum celebrating our social history and for sharing their knowledge and expertise with local schoolchildren and visitors to our monthly openings.

Our councillors are looking forward to formulating plans to utilise our new premises to benefit our local community. Our staff will also have the benefit of larger offices and
there will be space for meeting visitors to the Town Council.

The Town Council wishes the former occupants, Rider for the Disabled, every success for the future in their new surroundings.

Cllr Lynne Taylor
Leader DTC
