Vacancy on Drayton Ward

A casual vacancy has arisen on Daventry Town Council following the resignation of Cllr David Segnitz (Drayton Ward).  Cllr Segnitz resigned due to family and work commitments.

Speaking on behalf of council, Deborah Jewell, Town Clerk, thanked Cllr Segnitz for his service and wished him well for the future, adding, "At the end of the day Town Councillors are volunteers and it is important they achieve a good work life balance".

The vacancy will now be formally advertised and a by-election will be called if requested by ten residents of the ward within 14 working days.
