New notice boards at town allotments
Daventry Town Council is pleased to announce that we have had notice boards installed on each of our five allotment sites. The notice boards will ensure improved communications between allotment holders and Daventry Town Council.
In an effort to provide a better service we are considering inviting allotment reps to our working group meetings to bring along the views from the ground. Any ideas can be brought along for discussion, so keep an eye on the notice boards for further information on this and other matters relating to allotments. Having two representatives from each of the allotment sites in Daventry would give a total of ten representatives; two of the ten will be elected to sit on Daventry Town Council Allotment Working Group.
We do appreciate that our allotment holders work very hard and are rightly proud of their efforts and are disappointed that recently we have seen a spate of thefts from sites. We have great sympathy with residents when they lose tools, produce or have their property damaged in any way. We are liaising with the police and community officers over this matter but would ask that people keep their eyes peeled, and report any suspicious incidents
