New Daventry Town Council Logo

Karen Blundell and Geoff Fone from PR Press and Karen's son

Karen has worked within the design and print trade for 20 years as a graphic designer. Karen said of her win:

“The idea behind this logo design is very simple. The speech bubble represents the strapline ‘Making Your Voice Heard’ and the idea of communication. The tree represents the ‘growth’ of Daventry, both now and in the future. I am thrilled at winning this competition and look forward to seeing the logo being used in the future.”

Karen entered the competition on behalf of JR Press and requested the winning cheque be donated to the charity Diabetes UK.

Daventry Town Council would also like to thank Mr Geoff Fone of JR Press for his company’s involvement in providing the logo in a variety of formats to enable Daventry Town Council to communicate in the many differing media such as the Internet and on letterheads.

The quality of all the entries for the logo competition was extremely high and Daventry Town Council was absolutely delighted to receive so many great and well thought out entries. But Karen's entry stood out as a very simple but striking image, which will be instantly recognisable by the public.
