Daventry Arts Festival

The creative community of Daventry come together to put on Daventry Arts Festival supported by Daventry Town Council.

The date for the 2017 Daventry Arts Festival has been confirmed as 17th June to 1st July 2017.

We would be delighted If you would like to take part. Please complete our Creative Ideas Form found below if you would like to be a part of the Arts Festival.

Design your own Superhero

Excellent opportunity for youngsters of all ages to get creative and design your perfect superhero, entries can be submitted using any medium and must be no larger than A4. Entries can be submitted in person at Kuni's or sent via email to (kunicoffeedaventry@hotmail.com) There will be 2 categories: 5 and under and 6-11 years. 1st prize Nintendo 3DS, 2nd prize Art Set. Runners up prizes of The Secret Life of Pets goody bags.

Daventry Photographic Society Competition

The winners of the three age categories are:

David Hollis, 18+ years category

Alex Goddard, 11 - 18 years old category

Scarlett Pratt, under 11 years old category

In addition to the three winning photos listed above we also awarded 2nd and 3rd places in the 18+ age category. These went to:

Allan Maybury, 2nd place, 18+ years category

Ron Pilgram, 3rd place, 18+ years category

A further 11 photos received Highly Commended or Commended credits.

Halfords Daventry Bike Competition - Is your Dad a real life superhero?

The Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Glenda Simmonds presented the two winners of the Halfords 'My Dads a Superhero Competition' with their prizes on Wednesday 5th October.

The winning girl was Emily Checkley and the winning boy was Kian Humpage. They each received a bike of their choice to the value of £100 which was built for them by Halfords staff.

Thank you to both of the winners and the staff at Halfords Daventry.

Daventry Town Council are pleased to announce another fabulous competition for Daventry Arts Festival. We have teamed up with Halfords Daventry to celebrate Father's Day and the Aviva Women's Tour event taking place on Sunday 19th June 2016.

Halfords Daventry have pledged two children's bikes (up to the value of £100 each) from their instore range for the winners of the boys and girl's category of the competition which is FREE to enter for all local children up to the age of 12.

How to enter: Children need to write in and tell us tell us why Is your Dad a real life superhero? In no more than 100 words

Judging in process by The Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Lynne Taylor & Cllr Carl Busby, winners will be notified w/c 11th July
