On Saturday 27th July, Daventry Town Council together with Daventry District Council will be holding their third annual Outdoor Family Cinema Event. This will take place in Daventry Country Park between noon and 7.45 pm.
The three films chosen are: Madagascar 3, Brave and The Hobbit – An Unexpected Journey. The event is totally free to attend and activities will include face painting, balloon modelling, a bouncy castle and lots more.
Daventry Mayor, Councillor Ron Fox, who opened the 2012 event, said ‘Last year’s Outdoor Family Cinema Day brought hundreds of people to the Country Park. It was fabulous to see so many families enjoying a picnic and the films on offer. It is a true, community event.’
Maria Taylor, Community Manager at Daventry District Council, said: “The previous family cinema days we have held at the park proved to be incredibly popular and we hope this year is no exception.
“We have been asking parents and youngsters what movies they would like to watch this year and have selected the most popular choices, so I hope that lots of people put it in their diary and go along to this completely free event.”
DACT will be offering a free park and ride service from Lodge Road to the Country Park starting at noon so put the date in your diary and bring the whole family along for a great day out.
