The Annual Town Assembly is a meeting where residents are able to ask questions of the council rather than refer to a strict Agenda that only Town Council members can discuss.

Family Seed Planting - Daneholme Community Allotments

Daventry Town Council are inviting families to come along to Daneholme Allotments on Saturday 6th May between 10.30am-1.30pm and plant a choice of flower and vegetable seeds with experts from the Daventry Allotment and Gardening Association to take home nurture and grow. This is a Free event but we do hope people (if able) will give a donation to Macmillan Cancer Support.

St Georges Day Parade - Saturday 22nd April 2017

The Town Council are pleased to be putting up the bunting and flags this week in time for the Scouts annual St Georges Day Parade taking place on Saturday 22nd April. The parade gather at Chaucer Way Car Park at 13:45 and parade to New Street Recreation Ground via the High Street. Astro Bowls launches in Daventry

Astro Bowls launches in Daventry

Daventry residents are invited to come along to the launch of Astro Bowls for Daventry, this Friday 31st March, at the Daventry Museum.

Astro Bowls is a new form of the game to enable people to play bowls throughout the year using artificial astro-turf pitches. As well as this, a variation of bowls has been created to allow those with disabilities or who are less able, to play bowls in the community which we will be showcasing at the museum.. Read More »

Stargazing Live comes to Daventry

Stargazing Live comes to Daventry

Daventry Town Council invites you to come along to Stargazing Live. This free event takes place at Daventry Museum on Saturday 1st April 2017 from 6:00pm until 10.00 pm.

A local 'Astronomy for Fun' group are putting on a starry event to coincide with the return of BBC Stargazing Live TV show at the end of March 2017.

JuditSingers Perform in aid of Mayor’s Charity

The Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Glenda Simmonds, and the JuditSingers will be holding an evening performance on Saturday 25th March, in aid of the Mayor's charity, Macmillan Daventry.

New Partnership between Daventry Town Council and Citizens Advice Daventry & District.

2017 sees the start of a new partnership between Daventry Town Council and Citizens Advice Daventry, in response to the introduction of Universal Credit and the subsequent rise in the number of people with personal debt.

The Town Council are providing a grant to Citizens Advice to recruit and train several volunteers to become specialist advisors within the field of benefits and debt.
