“Daventry Weekender” – 29 bands set to Open Daventry Arts Festival 2017

This year's Arts Festival is set to rock as Daventry Town Council's (DTC) shout out to the creative community has resulted in a fabulous fortnight of events, opening on Saturday June 17th with the "Daventry Weekender".

Daventry Mayor raises £6298.99 for her chosen charity

Daventry Mayor raises £6298.99 for her chosen charity

Daventry Mayor, Councillor Glenda Simmonds today handed over a cheque for a whopping £6298.99 to her chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, Northamptonshire.

The fantastic amount has been raised via various fundraisers and generous donations from the town's residents since Councillor Simmonds took office as Chairman of Daventry Town Council and Mayor in May 2016.

Daventry Town Council are inviting families to come along to Daneholme Allotments on Saturday 6th May between 10.30am-1.30pm and plant a choice of flower and vegetable seeds with experts from the Daventry Allotment and Gardening Association to take home nurture and grow. Astro Bowls launches in Daventry

Daventry residents are invited to come along to the launch of Astro Bowls for Daventry, this Friday 31st March, at the Daventry Museum.

Astro Bowls is a new form of the game to enable people to play bowls throughout the year using artificial astro-turf pitches. Stargazing Live comes to Daventry

Daventry Town Council invites you to come along to Stargazing Live. This free event takes place at Daventry Museum on Saturday 1st April 2017 from 6:00pm until 10.00 pm.

A local 'Astronomy for Fun' group are putting on a starry event to coincide with the return of BBC Stargazing Live TV show at the end of March 2017.

JuditSingers Perform in aid of Mayor’s Charity

The Mayor of Daventry, Cllr Glenda Simmonds, and the JuditSingers will be holding an evening performance on Saturday 25th March, in aid of the Mayor's charity, Macmillan Daventry.
