Flag-raising Events

Daventry Town Council takes part in flag-raising events throughout the year to pay homage to the various global and national events that take place.

The flag-raising takes place at the Twinning Area in the Town and all members of the community are usually invited where we hold a short ceremony thanking and commemorating the day or remembering those who lost their lives.*

The Mayor would attend along with the Mace Bearer plus a clergy to give a blessing.*

* Due to current Government Guidelines relating to Covid-19 the public are asked not to attend flag-raising events until further notice.

Ceremony formats are also subject to change without prior notice.
