As part of this year's Daventry Arts Festival, Daventry Town Council is looking for hundreds of crocheted and knitted poppies. These will be used to commemorate the centenary of the ending of World War One (one hundred years ago this year) and will be put together to decorate the silhouette of a WWI Soldier which will be placed in the Holy Cross Church.

Please find below patters for both a crocheted and knitted poppy. If you are not a seasoned crocheter or knitter, DTC will be running two workshops over the course of Daventry Arts Festival:
Tuesday 19th June 2018 : 5pm - 5.45pm

Friday 22nd June 2018 : 5pm - 5.45pm

Both workshops will be held at the Daventry Library Plus and are free to attend.

If you would like to make a poppy for your own personal use, please do feel free to utilise these patterns, and send a photo of the finished result to events@daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk.
