Be A Daventry Litter Hero!

November 2020 Update:

Sadly, due to the recent Government announcement in regards to Covid-19 enforced restrictions our Litter Picks have been temporary suspended until further notice.

In the meantime we have free Litter Pick Packs available for residents to carry out their own litter pick walks when out and about.

Should you wish to get a pack please contact: comms@daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk to arrange a suitable collection time.

Daventry Town Council wants to make a difference to the environment in our town so launched a litter picking scheme targeting areas within Daventry. Local residents are being asked to pledge an hour of their time to join the Community Ranger and Ward Councillors on these picks. Litter blights our streets and parks and so with residents support we want to inspire people to eliminate litter now and for future generations.

Already we received a great response from local residents and community groups alike. To register interest for future walks please email: Comms@daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk

We had a successful first litter walk on Saturday 12th September 2020 at the Fishponds play area, followed by another pick at the Spider Play Park in October 2020 targeting the green spaces in that district.

The walks are led by our Community Ranger Charlotte Jones who plans short routes for volunteers to follow that are social distanced appropriate too.

All equipment required is provided by Daventry Town Council.

Please check our website and social media profiles for regular updates on each months' litter pick hot-spot and feel free to turn up on the scheduled day.
