Be a Daventry
Litter Hero!

Daventry Town Council wants to make a difference to the environment in our town so are launching a litter picking scheme targeting areas within Daventry. Local residents are being asked to pledge an hour of their time to join the Community Ranger and Ward Councillors on these picks. Litter blights our streets and parks and so with residents support we want to inspire people to eliminate litter now and for future generations.

Already we have received a great response from local residents and community groups who want to get involved and become 'Litter Heroes' and we would love to see families of all ages join us on the scheduled litter picks too. To register interest in for future walks please email: Comms@daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk

We had a successful first litter walk on Saturday 12th September 2020 at the Fishponds play area and targeting the green spaces in that district.

Our next litter pick will take place at the Spider Park, Car Park, Arnull Crescent, Headlands, NN11 9AZ at 11am on Saturday 10th October 2020. Should you wish to join us, no need to book, simply turn up on the day.

The walks will be led by our Community Ranger Charlotte Jones who has planned short routes for all volunteers to follow that are social distanced appropriate too.

All equipment required will be provided by Daventry Town Council.

Please check our website and social media profiles for regular updates on each months' litter pick hot-spot and feel free to turn up on the scheduled day.
