Pom Pom Workshop

Come and make lots of fluffy pom-poms!! We'll show you a couple of really cool ways to make pom-poms of various sizes, some for the Daventry Crochet Christmas tree project and some to take home!

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Daventry Museum, 3 New St, Daventry, NN11 4BT
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻: Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1st June (Half Term)
𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Drop by between 10.30 and 11.30am each day
𝗪𝗵𝗼: For children of all ages and their grown-ups (some grown-up help with scissors will be needed)
𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: There are many free car parks in Daventry town centre, just check the noticeboard for timing restrictions
Whilst you're with us why not stay and enjoy the Queen's Jubilee Scavenger Trail and exhibition & other fun activities in the Museum!
No knitting experience necessary and all materials will be provided - Free of charge!

Daventry Motorcycle Festival

The Daventry Motorcycle Festival has been running for over 10 years now and not only is a brilliant display of bikes, there is also live music, street entertainment, stunt shows and tasty food and drink to be sampled. A great family fun day for all ages. And what's more it is free to come along to!
This event is organised and run by the Daventry Motorcycle Festival Association who are all volunteers and any proceeds are used to fund future events. Daventry Town Council are proud to support this event.

Bike Marking Sessions

Daventry Town Council in Partnership with Northamptonshire Police are offering a FREE Bike Marking Service at the upcoming Daventry Motorcycle Festival 2022.
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧: Bike Marking is an individual stamp that is placed on your personal bike to help identify who it belongs to, so that it can be easily identified if found after being lost or stolen.
𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗡: Saturday 11th June 2022
𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘: 10am-4pm
𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘:Daventry Town Centre at the Motorcycle Festival.
𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗬: FREE! Just bring your bike along to get it marked.
This scheme has been funded by Daventry Town Council and will be rolled out by the Daventry Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Free Crafty Crown Making Workshop

On the Queen's Birthday Saturday 11th June, and the same day as the Motorcycle Festival, we will be holding Crafty Crown Making workshops for children of all ages.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁: Paper crown making and decorating!
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻: Saturday 11 June 2022
𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲: Drop by between 11am and 2pm
𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲: Daventry Museum, 3 New Street, Daventry (outside, weather permitting)
𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆: It's free to participate and how long you spend making and decorating with stickers and sparkles is up to you!
Suitable for all ages (scissor skills assistance needed for the very young). There is no need to book a spot, just come along on the day. Everyone is welcome although children in attendance will need to be supervised by a responsible adult. Have a go at the free Jubilee Trail and Quiz around the museum, whilst taking in the new exhibition and Jubilee display!

Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving troops to Service families, veterans and cadets. Daventry Town Council will be showing support for Armed Forces Day by raising the Armed Forces Flag on Friday 24th June, 10.30am at the Twinning Area in Daventry. All are welcome to attend.

Community Litter Pick

Daventry Town Council is very excited to be relaunching it's 2022 Community Litter Picks and everyone is invited to get involved too...
- Saturday June 25th
- Children's small play park, Wimborne Place
- 11am - 12pm
The pick will be led by our Community Ranger, Charlotte Jones and equipment will be provided if you haven't got your own to bring with you. There is no need to book a spot, just come along on the day. Everyone is welcome although children in attendance will need to be supervised by a responsible adult.
