World War One Centenary Exhibition

To mark the 100 years since the end of the First World War Daventry Museum is holding a commemorative exhibition reflecting on the end of World War One, its aftermath and post-war Daventry. On Saturday open days in September, November and December visitors will be able to sing along to wartime songs played on the museum piano.

Exhibition open from 1st September to 14th December.

The Empty Chair Project Display

To commemorate the lives of the 114 soldiers from Daventry who lost their lives during the First World War, Daventry Museum has invited local Daventry schools and community groups to make and decorate a small model chair to represent each individual soldier. Once built and decorated, these unique chairs will be displayed at the museum and then given to those who wish to remember a soldier by promising to set an empty seat at their table on Remembrance Sunday on 11^th November 2018.

The Empty Chair Display will open from Saturday 3rd November to Sunday 11th November. (On Sunday 11^th November the museum will be open from 11.30am to 2.00pm)

Tuesday to Friday from 9.30am to 1.30pm

The first Saturday in the month from 10am to 4pm
