Neighbourhood Watch

Neighbourhood Watch is a grassroots charitable movement. It is the largest crime prevention voluntary movement in England and Wales and has upwards of 2.3 million members.

Schemes are run by volunteers across England and Wales supported by volunteer Associations, and by Neighbourhood Watch Network, the national umbrella organisation for the movement.

Neighbourhood Watch supports individuals and groups to create safer, stronger and active communities. They believe in a caring society that is focused on trust and respect, in which people are safe from crime and enjoy a good quality of life. They achieve their goals we work national, regionally and locally in your area - including Daventry.

Neighbourhood Watch Area Coordinator An area coordinator is a lead point of contact for a group of Neighbourhood Watch schemes, connecting and supporting scheme coordinators, local police and partners, actively involved in keeping their area safe.

Neighbourhood Watch Coordinator A scheme is an active volunteer group of Neighbourhood Watch members, supported by a coordinator. A scheme coordinator is a lead point of contact for their local Neighbourhood Watch scheme, connecting and supporting non-members, participating members, local police and partners, actively involved in keeping their neighbourhoods safe.

Neighbourhood Watch Member: A Neighbourhood Watch member is a person who belongs to a Neighbourhood Watch scheme or has signed up individually to Neighbourhood Watch through our website.

The Telephone Preference Service (TPS) is the UK's only official 'Do Not Call' register for landlines and Mobile numbers. It allows people and businesses to opt out of unsolicited live sales and marketing calls.

It's free and quick to register a telephone number. Doing so will reduce the amount of unwanted sales and marketing calls you receive. There is also a register for businesses, the Corporate Telephone Preference Service.
