Daventry Town Council has been presented with a record of remembrance for each of the Daventry men who died in the First World War in France and Belgium. The project was led by Malcolm Ogle, Daventry Town Councillor for Abbey South Ward, who made it his mission to visit the headstones and memorials of the WW1 soldiers named on Daventry's War Memorial to place a hand-written remembrance cross.

On Saturday 8th June 2019, one of the most popular events in the Daventry diary took place as the town hosted Daventry Motorcycle Festival.
Now in its ninth year, the festival attracted large crowds, who came out to enjoy the day despite the drizzle. Alongside the brilliant display of bikes, there was live music, street entertainment, a stunt show and tasty food and drink to be sampled.
