Daventry Town Council is pleased to introduce their new Town Councillor for Abbey Central Ward as Councillor Aiden Ramsey.

Aiden has been involved with local community projects with The Phoenix Centre for the past 11 years which have included Music Nights, The Skate Park, Street Art, The Summer Samba, anti-social behaviour awareness and healthy lives training for young people. At university, Aiden established the Community and Ecology Society and worked with Swansea's Sustainability Forum to shape environmental policy for the area. Currently Aiden is a governor of St James Infant School and the Student Community Coordinator for Coventry University Students' Union.

Upon co-option, Aiden commented "I hope to bring my knowledge and passion for community projects to build on the council's already fantastic work and ensure greater social cohesion and interaction within the town. Daventry is a wonderful place and the potential it has is huge; let's all work together to make our home safer, cleaner and more welcoming!"
