The Grange School to take Pride of Place

Daventry Town Council are proud to announce that 'Partridge in a Pear Tree' design for the Daventry Spirit of Christmas Schools Competition submitted by The Grange School and Art Club has been chosen to be displayed in the Gazebo of Sheaf Street over the festive season.

The design was created by the school's art club on their chosen theme Partridge in a Pear Tree. Featuring a hanging partridge and pears made from chicken wire and modroc, the design is sure to be an eye-catching addition to the town this Christmas.

The Daventry Spirit of Christmas events feature a variety of FREE events in the town including Lantern Making Workshops, Santa Grotto, Donkey Rides, Giant Snowglobe Photobooth, The Lantern Parade and Munchkins and Monsters.

Santa's Grotto and Donkey Rides, Petting and Grooming will be held in Sheaf Street from 3.00-6.00pm.
Giant Snowglobe Photobooth will be in Bowen Sqaure from 3.00-7.30pm. Get your photo taken inside of the magical Snowglobe with all the family!

The Daventry Lantern Parade will start at 6.30pm from the Library Car Park, ending at 7.00pm in Bowen Sqaure around the Christmas Tree with a performance from Dunchurch and District Brass Band and Daventry Community Choir.

On Saturday 3rd December, Daventry Town Council have commissioned Munchkins and Monsters Theatre Company to put on a theatrical performance of Wind in the Willows at the Daventry Leisure Centre, Saxon Suite. All tickets are free but booking is required.
