Resolution from Daventry Town Council on the Canal Arm Funding Proposal from Daventry District Council

Daventry Town Council considered a report produced by appointed planning consultant James Wilson Associates at a special meeting held on Monday 17th July 2017.

After extensive debate members raised serious concerns regarding the proposal of Daventry District Council to commit £8.175 million of reserves to construct a mid-section of the Canal Arm.

Members resolved to write to Daventry District Council Chief Executive Mr Ian Vincent stating that the project should be subject to an independent cost/benefit and risk analysis which should be carried out prior to authorising the investment of any public monies into this project.
