Daventry Phoenix Sports Academy is officially opened

After years of planning and perseverance from a team of people, dedicated to improve the well-being of the youth of Daventry, The Phoenix Youth Centre has been transformed into a multi sports activities facility now know as Daventry Phoenix Sports Academy (DPSA).

The centre was officially opened, by Rio 2016 Paralympian Athlete, Sam Ruddock, on Saturday 21st October followed by impressive demonstrations of gymnastics, judo and a variety of accessible sports for all.

Daventry Town Mayor, Cllr Lynne Taylor, was delighted that the dream had become reality and that the centre would enable many children and young people to aspire to achieve their sporting ambitions.
