Daventry Arts Festival Programme Release

Daventry Arts Festival Programme Release

Daventry Town Council has released its programme for Daventry Art Festival 2018. Running from 16th – 24th June 2018, the week-long festivities will feature everything from craft workshops to traditional Celtic summer solstice celebrations.

The response has been overwhelming with tickets to the Family Film Day and the Monsters and Munchkins theater performance being fully reserved within six days of them being available.

Cllr Lynn Jones, Mayor of Daventry, said "The response to this year's Arts Festival has been fantastic. We are very proud that we can offer many of the events free of charge. This year's programme is diverse with a range of events to suit everyone's taste – including a Mini Fringe Festival, an Arts and Craft Fair and an Alternative Art Exhibition by Nevermore Tattoo Parlour as well as workshops for people to join, have fun and learn a new skill."

If you weren't lucky enough to grab a ticket for the Family Film Day or theatre performance there are still many spaces left on the various workshops and guided walks that will be running, including a 'Mend and Make Do' workshop where attendees can learn some upcycling skills, to include transforming old t-shirts into cushion covers. There are also spaces on local author, Mark Robson's workshop on 'Tips on being an Author' – a must for all budding and aspiring writers.

Spaces can be reserved by contacting Daventry Town Council direct on 01327 301246 or via email to events@daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk. Hard copies of the Festival Programme can be obtained from the Town Council offices or downloaded for free from the Daventry Town Council website: www.daventrytowncouncil.gov.uk.
