Daventry Arts Festival off to a flying start

Daventry Arts Festival off to a flying start

On Saturday 16th June 2018 Daventry Town Centre was filled with music, crafts and more as Daventry Arts Festival made a return for the eighth year running.

There was an Arts and Crafts Fair along Sheaf Street, with various local and independent traders selling handmade items; two theatre performances from Munchkins and Monsters at Daventry Leisure Centre; and live music at various establishments, including Early Doors, The Saracens Head, Chasers and the Holy Cross Church.

Cllr Lynn Jones, Mayor of Daventry, said of the day, "It was a fantastic day and amazing to see so many talented individuals local to Daventry and the area have a creative outlet for their talents to shine through. As with previous years, Daventry Arts Festival is all about celebrating Daventry's creative side, and we definitely succeeded with that on Saturday – a great start to the week long celebrations."

If you missed out on Saturday's activities in the town, don't worry, there are still plenty of individual events happening in Daventry until Sunday 24th June 2018, including a concert at the Holy Cross Church with the extremely popular Rock Choir and Cantare Singers on Saturday 23rd June and an 'International SunDay Fun-Day' at Daventry Museum on Sunday 24th June 2018 – suitable for all the family!
