Local author to hold book signing at Daventry Arts Festival

Northamptonshire author Adrian Perkins will be signing copies of his new book, Ghost Detective VII, at First Light Photographic in Daventry on Saturday 22nd June between 11am and 3pm.

The latest book in his spooky series sees Adrian explore stories that have intrigued him for many years. He explained:
"In book VII I wanted to go back to my roots and get stuck into stories and investigations that I had always wanted to do. I had heard stories as a child about some locations, so they needed exploring."

As an avid collector of ghost stories from around the world, Adrian was inspired to begin writing by the lack of new material in other books.

"Authors of new books seemed to be getting lazy, instead of investigating new tales of ghostly goings on they simply rehashed an old story," Adrian said. This led him to find and investigate new stories that had not yet been told.

While his shortest case lasted just one day, many of his investigations take two or three years to complete, using archaeology, history and parapsychology to explain ghostly goings on.

Adrian's book signing is taking place as part of Daventry Arts Festival, and he says that the town is home to lots of haunted locations for the keen ghost hunter to explore.

"Key spots in Daventry include The Moot Hall, The Plume of Feathers pub, and best of all First Light Photographic. All terrific haunted locations and packed to the gunnels with history."

All are welcome along to the book signing, ghosts included.
