New Councillor Elected
On 25th November 2019, Daventry Town Council members voted in favour of John Tippett, thereby co-opting him as a representative of Abbey Central Ward.
John commented:
"As a Daventry resident of the past 22 years, a local businessman and also a School Governor within Daventry, I am excited to be representing the Abbey Central Ward as Councillor. I am passionate about the Town and it's development. The possible Unitary Authority presents the Town Council an exciting opportunity as services and responsibilities are devolved from The District Council and this is an exciting time for all Daventry residents and businesses".
Daventry Mayor Mike Arnold, said of the appointment, "We are very much looking forward to welcoming John to the Town Council and look forward to his knowledge and imput in helping celebrate Daventry best".
The next full Town Council meeting will take place in the Chambers at Daventry Town Council, on Monday 16th December, at 6:30pm. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.
