Scrubs Up Northants Community Initiative

Scrubs Up Northants Community Initiative

'The Long Buckby Angels have been making scrubs for NHS staff as part of a new group set up on Facebook called Scrubs Up for Northants'.

We recently spoke to Reverend Dawn Stokes at Daventry Holy Cross Church to find out more on this wonderful community initiative. "I was very impressed with what the 'Scrubs Up' group had achieved through different volunteer groups and wanted the church to be able to make some sort of contribution to the COVID19 crisis too. However this is challenging when most of our congregation are in self-isolation, so instead I asked them to source, where possible, good quality unwanted sheets and duvets. It's good to know that even in isolation we can be of help in the effort to fight the Pandemic."

Generous members of the congregation certainly helped in abundance and Dawn was able to collect several bags of suitable bedding to pass onto the Long Buckby Angels.

This photo is of the second delivery Dawn made last week to the Angels.
