Daventry Market - Re-opening Success
Following Government guidelines Daventry Town Market was temporarily closed due to Government Covid19 regulations, which were lifted as of the 1st June 2020.
On Tuesday 2nd June 2020 Daventry Town Market resumed its usual service, opening every Tuesday and Friday, on the High Street from 8am – 2pm, offering fresh locally-sourced produce at competitive prices.
Social distancing measures have been put in place, in accordance with Government guidelines, with the market stalls now facing inwards to prevent possible queue clashes with High Street shops. This change has given the market a facelift and has been welcomed by market traders and their customers, everyone agrees this change has improved the look and feel of the market but also helped everyone to observe the social distancing guidelines to ensure the safety of themselves and others.
Many small Towns have lost their markets, but Daventry Town Council is constantly thinking of ways to encourage people to support its traders and keep the Town centre vibrant and welcoming. So come along and give your support and see what Daventry Town Market has to offer:
Ben Sockett (Flowers & Plants):
"It was very good to be back in Daventry and nice to see everyone. Thank you to those who were able to come to the re-opening week. We are looking forward to seeing all our customers again soon"
