Daventry Contact Visit #DaventryMayorOnTour

Daventry Mayor Cllr Lynne Taylor was delighted to visit local charity Daventry Contact to meet the team and see for herself the great work they are doing providing a unique service for the community.

Daventry Contact has 25+ years experience with helping people in the community and have proved to be invaluable during the Coronavirus pandemic, especially for those in desperate and urgent need of furniture, beds, soft furnishings, and food parcels in the town of Daventry and surrounding District.

The Charity has a small but very active team who collect donated furniture and domestic appliances, making sure they are checked for safety and function before being delivered to families and individuals who are often suffering with their mental and physical health, domestic violence and low income.

Daventry Contact is grateful for donations and is particularly keen to receive single beds, clean mattresses and fridges/freezers. If you're considering upgrading any domestic appliances or furniture do please let them know.

Also visiting at the same time was the Rotary Club of Danetre Daventry to present the charity with a cheque, which will go a long way to help Daventry Contact to help others. What a great all round community spirit!
