Daventry Town Council is deeply saddened to announce that due to new government guidelines we are unable to hold the Remembrance Service at the war memorial this Sunday the 8th November.

The safety of Daventry residents and our staff is paramount and in light of the continuing increase of Covid-19 cases in our area, managing social distancing in this location is not possible. Instead we will be uploading a commemorative video just before 11am for you to watch and pause for reflection to commemorate all those who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars and later conflicts.

The Holy Cross Church will also be live streaming their Remembrance Service via Zoom and their Facebook page which you are invited to join:

And, don't forget The Royal British Legion are encouraging the public to observe the two-minute silence from their doorsteps.
