The High Sheriff of Northamptonshire plants a symbol of hope for the people of Daventry

The High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, Paul Parsons, made a return trip to Daventry to plant a London Plane Tree (Platanus x hispanica) that he very kindly donated to the people of Daventry Town.

The tree was planted on Tuesday 30th March 2021, at Daneholme Park on a sunny morning at a low-key, covid-friendly ceremony with the Daventry Town Mayor, officers of the Town Council and representatives from Norse in attendance.

Paul Parsons said "We have all had a very challenging and difficult year and I want to plant this tree as a symbol of hope for the people of Daventry following the Covid 19 Pandemic."

The Town Mayor thanked Paul for his generous donation for the people of Daventry to enjoy for many generations to come.
