Voting Reminder: Have Your Say
Local elections are taking place across West Northamptonshire on Thursday 6 May 2021. They will be held for the new West Northamptonshire Council, local town and parish councils (including Daventry Town Council) and also to elect a Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire.
Local Councillors are elected in 4-year terms by the local community to represent its views. The elections in May will decide the Town Councillors who will represent Daventry residents.
You can find more information regarding the 2021 Elections on our dedicated webpage linked below.
Unfortunately the postal vote application date has now passed but you are still able to vote by the two methods below:
At a polling station – You will have been posted a poll card which will tell you where your local polling station is where you can vote in person. You can vote in person at your designated polling station from 7am to 10pm on election day, Thursday 6 May. If you lose or forget your poll card you will still be able to vote without it, but it is easier if you have it with you. Please wear a mask when voting in a polling station. A range of measures have been put in place to minimise the risk of Covid-19 at poling stations.
By proxy - Voting by proxy means choosing someone else to vote for you. You need to fill in a new form to choose who will vote for you. This person can visit a polling station in order to vote on your behalf. Deadline to apply: 27th April 2021.
Make you vote count...
