DTC Welcomes New Councillor

DTC Welcomes New Councillor

Following recent notice of a Town Councillor Vacancy for Daventry Ward West, Daventry Town Council members voted in favour of nominee John Tippett, thereby co-opting him as the new representative for that ward.

Daventry Town Council would like to to extend its gratitude to the five excellent candidates who also nominated themselves, each putting forward great ideas and showing vast enthusiasm for the town.

John has a passion for Daventry having been a resident for 25 years, as well as experience as a local businessman and School Governor too. Following his appointment he commented:

"It was a pleasure to stand for co-option and I am delighted to return to Daventry Town Council. I look forward to continuing the work I was doing, representing the wonderful people and businesses within the town".

The next full Town Council meeting will take place in the Chambers at Daventry Town Council, on Monday 25th October 2021, at 6:30pm. Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.
