DTC Fireworks Spectacular Back With A Bang!
On Saturday 6th November 2021, Daventry Town Council held its tenth annual Fireworks Display at Parker E-Act School where over 6500 thousand people attended.
Starting at 7.30pm, the display was orchestrated and choreographed by local award-winning fireworks company, MLE Pyrotechnics. Opening with Coldplay's 'A Sky Full of Stars' and finishing with 'The Pretender' by the Foo Fighters, the feedback from the crowd was that it was one of the best fireworks display to date.
Daventry Town Council was thrilled to be able to host the fireworks spectacular event once again after cancelling 2020's scheduled display due to Covid restrictions.
Also joining us on the night were a variety of food and drink vendors serving a wide range of yummy hot savoury food and drinks, plus autumnal sweet treats including toffee apples, candy floss, retro sweets, cakes, doughnuts and more. The retailers reported a successful night of trading and were pleased to welcome new and returning customers once again.
Cllr Karen Tweedale, Mayor of Daventry was in attendance and said: "What a fabulous evening and a real treat to see such a spectacular extravaganza of fireworks. It was brilliant to see so many happy faces and a tremendous turnout for the event which we were sadden to have to cancel last year
Sound and lighting were provided by Juice Sound and Lighting; stewarding provided by Northamptonshire based company New Age Training and Recruitment; CCTV provided by local Daventry company Crimesecure Ltd and medical aid by Enhanced Medical Care.
A huge thank you to the E-Act Parker School for helping facilitate the event and ensuring that everyone had a fantastic evening.
Daventry Town Council was delighted to host such a well-received event and are already planning to make next year's display even more spectacular!
