What is the Annual Town Assembly?

The Annual Town Assembly or Annual Parish Meeting is a legacy from the Middle Ages, when local councils did not exist, and all local decision making was carried out by meetings of the whole community. Today, the Annual Town Assembly gives electors in the Town the opportunity to discuss anything they consider important to the people of the Town. The Agenda is generated by matters raised by electors present at the meeting.
