1. Sweep and weed your pathway and property edges
2. Litter pick your patch
3. Wipe down doorframes and window sills
4. Clean windows outside (vinegar on newspaper makes for a good eco-glass-cleaner)
5. Plant flowers and shrubs for the summer, trim and tidy trees and hedges

Got the Spring Cleaning Bug?

Then why not…

1. Declutter inside and out, give away unwanted items to charity or the Reuse Drop Off area of the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
2. Check you're recycling all you can. Are items in the right boxes? Do they need a rinse? Do your bin lids close properly? (Find Full Waste & Recycling Info here)
3. Start bags or boxes for soft plastics, batteries, collect them to drop off at Terracycle points, Tescos or to Scoutings groups who might be collecting to raise funds.

Keep safe. If in doubt don't pick it up.

Residents are also welcome to join our Community Ranger on any or all of our 2022 Community Litter Pick dates, starting with our first pick which has been organised for the Grange Estate on Saturday 26 March 2022.

All equipment is provided by Daventry Town Council although people are encouraged to bring along their own Litter Picker kits on the day if they have them. Everyone is welcome, but any children in attendance will need to be supervised by a responsible adult at all time.

Our first litter pick date coincides with The Keep Britain Tidy – Great British Spring Clean Event 2022 but also with our current Daventry Mindful Mile Campaign and is a timely reminder of what is good for our environment is good for our mental and physical health too.
