Celebrate the Jubilee with a Picnic in our Parks

In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen will become the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

In the run up to the Platinum Jubilee Central Weekend which takes place from Thursday 2nd to 5th June 2022, Daventry Town Council is encouraging residents to organise their own Picnic in the Park in one of Daventry's leafy open spaces.

There are lots of locations to choose from within the town, where you can gather with friends and family to celebrate Her Majesty's historic reign.

Daventry Town Council's green spaces are free for the public to use, and the Jubilee weekend provides a great opportunity to take advantage of the parks readily available to residents and visitors alike.

To help identify ideal picnic locations within the town, we have put together a handy map to offer open space suggestions.

Please visit our Queen's Jubilee Page to download a copy of our Picnic in our Parks Map and details on how Daventry is marking the historic event, plus information on national Jubilee festivities.
