NEWS: Traveller encampment on Country Park

Daventry Town Council is aware of the recent encampment of travellers on the Country Park.

The relevant authorities and the landowner have been informed and the lawful procedures have been put in place.

Daventry Town Council has no power or jurisdiction to expedite the removal of the travellers from the site but are currently working with other stakeholders to resolve this recurring issue.

On 8th August 1918, the Battle of Amiens took place, which was the beginning of the Allied offensive and one of the greatest advances that had been seen since the start of the war.
