Daventry Town Council has been presented with a record of remembrance for each of the Daventry men who died in the First World War in France and Belgium. The project was led by Malcolm Ogle, Daventry Town Councillor for Abbey South Ward, who made it his mission to visit the headstones and memorials of the WW1 soldiers named on Daventry's War Memorial to place a hand-written remembrance cross.

On Monday 20th May 2019, Daventry Fire and Rescue Services (DFAR) were called to the aid of a mother and child, after their car's locking mechanism seized, and the child was locked in the car.

On 29th April 2019, Daventry Town Council members voted in favour of Matthew Churchley, thereby co-opting him as a representative of Ashby Fields Ward.

Daventry’s First Classic Car Show a roaring success
