NEWS: DDC unveil plans for new cinema development in Daventry Town
Daventry District Council (DDC) has, this week, unveiled plans to build a new cinema with restaurants in Daventry Town centre by 2020.
DDC have advised that they will be progressing the new Mulberry Place cinema development on land north of High Street and are inviting residents to have their say on the proposals during a public consultation later this month.

NEWS: NCC’s consultation on the relocation of Daventry Town Library
Northamptonshire County Council (NCC) wants to know the views of Daventry town residents regarding the proposed relocation from the current library building, to the Abbey Advice and Resource Centre (The Abbey Centre).
Daventry Library currently occupies a former school building in the town centre which is owned by Daventry District Council (DDC).

DTC Fireworks Display set to be an ocular spectacular
Daventry Town Council will again be holding their fantastic fireworks display in Daventry town on Saturday 3rd November 2018 for the eighth consecutive year.

NEWS: Traveller encampment on Country Park
Daventry Town Council is aware of the recent encampment of travellers on the Country Park.
The relevant authorities and the landowner have been informed and the lawful procedures have been put in place.
Daventry Town Council has no power or jurisdiction to expedite the removal of the travellers from the site but are currently working with other stakeholders to resolve this recurring issue.

NEWS: Landlords urged to take heed of important law changes
From 1st October 2018, changes to regulations for licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupations (HMOs) will mean that all HMOs occupied by five, or more, people forming two, or more, households (where facilities are shared) will require a mandatory HMO license.
